The twenty-fourth edition of the Santa Maria Maggiore Christmas Markets will take place in the historic center of Santa Maria Maggiore from Friday, December 8th to Sunday, December 10th, 2023. The accessible route, open from 9:30 am to 6:00 pm, will host, as usual, a variety of products capable of satisfying everyone’s tastes.
Handcrafted nativity scenes, candles, creative sewing and embroidery, hand-painted glass and porcelain, Christmas decorations and ornaments, traditional wooden crafts, high-quality gastronomic specialties, small wooden houses and decorations made from local stones, and much more. A truly rich gift hunt along the characteristic cobblestone streets and intimate squares, framed by snow-capped peaks and Christmas lights that will adorn every corner of Santa Maria Maggiore.
On Thursday, December 7th at 6:00 pm, the Christmas Market will officially open with the Flash Christmas Mob, a special event featuring music, juggling, lights, and fire, aerial and flying performances, for a late afternoon of improvisation, a Christmas flash mob that will involve the entire Risorgimento Square.
