Santa Maria Maggiore and Vigezzo Valley offer a rich calendar of events during the year. Music, art, folklore, wine and food are only some of the topics of this rich calendar:

  • 31.08.2008 - XXXV Sgamelàà of Valle Vigezzo.
    In the Painters’ valley the classic running race returns. This is the 35th edition of this non-competitive race which annually brings great numbers of participants from throughout the surrounding valleys.
    The established meeting point is at the Centro Fondo A. Sartori at 9.00am.

  • 05.09.2008 – 08.09.2008 - 27° International Chimney-sweep convention
    Every year the streets of Santa Maria Maggiore and Malesco are filled with chimney-sweeps from 14 European countries, as well as numerous groups from America. Parades, song, dance and demonstrations of this ancient trade will light up the streets of Malesco and Santa Maria Maggiore.
